Legal
Privacy notice
This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from a third-party server; its visit recordings by PostHog are described below. What follows is the short version because there is not much to describe.
This website
- No cookies are set. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No pixels, no advertising or social network scripts. The one third-party analytics tool is PostHog, described below.
- Fonts, styles and images are served from this domain. Your browser is never asked to fetch anything from another company's server.
- There is no contact form and no account. To reach us you either place a phone call or open the booking page, which is run by another company on its own site — nothing you type there is entered on this one.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested — for security and capacity. We do not build profiles from them.
- Calls and bookings: when you tap a phone, text, email or booking link on this site, our own analytics stores the IP address of that visit together with the action, so we can see roughly where requests come from. We keep it for 90 days, use it for nothing else, and never sell or share it.
- Visit recordings: this site also uses PostHog, a service of PostHog Inc. in the United States, to see how visitors use it. Its script is served from this domain, and what it records is passed on from here to PostHog. It records the pages you view, where you click and how far you scroll, your device and browser type, page-speed measurements, and a replay of the visit in which anything typed into a field is hidden. It sets no cookies; its session data stays in the storage of your open browser tab and is cleared when the tab closes. PostHog receives your IP address, keeps it with this data and uses it to estimate your approximate location. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded. We use it only to improve this site and never sell it; PostHog keeps recordings for 30 days and other usage data for up to one year.
When you book
To carry out a repair we need your name, a phone number, the service address and what the appliance is doing. We keep the job record, the model and serial number and the invoice, because a warranty claim depends on them.
That information is used to do the work, to order parts and to keep our books. It is not sold, rented, or handed to a marketing company. Parts suppliers and our payment processor see only what they need to fill an order or settle a card payment.
Records are kept as long as tax and warranty obligations require, then disposed of. Ask and we will tell you what we hold on your appliance, correct it, or delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
Asking us
Raise it by phone on +1 (904) 201-3304 with Dunecrest Cooking Service, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. We answer privacy questions ourselves; there is no ticketing queue.
