Warranty
What the warranty covers
90 days on labour, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only. Written on the invoice, not just on a web page.
The terms
- Labour
- 90 days from the date of the invoice, on the specific repair carried out.
- Parts
- 365 days from the date of the invoice, on every component we supply and fit.
- Sourcing
- Genuine OEM parts only. No aftermarket substitutes, no salvage boards.
- Return visit
- No second diagnostic fee if the same fault returns inside the labour window.
- Transfer
- Stays with the appliance if the house sells. Ask the new owner to keep the invoice.
Covered
- The repair we carried out failing again in the same way.
- A part we supplied failing inside its term, including the labour to swap it.
- A fault we misdiagnosed. If the part did not fix the symptom, that is on us, not on your invoice.
- Workmanship: seals, gaskets, wiring and fixings we disturbed to get in.
Not covered
- A different fault on the same appliance. Coastal kitchens usually have more than one thing going on, and a new symptom is a new diagnostic.
- Damage caused by continuing to run the appliance after we have written a fault up. Once it is in the report, running it anyway is the owner's call.
- Corrosion on a part we did not supply, and damage from a surge, a flood or a strike after our visit.
- Work another trade has done to the appliance, the gas line, the duct or the circuit since we left.
- Cosmetic marks, glass, and consumables such as bulbs, filters and batteries.
Making a claim
Call and read us the invoice number. We book the return visit inside our normal hours across Ponte Vedra Beach and St. Johns County, with no $80 charge when the claim is inside its term.
This is Dunecrest Cooking Service's own warranty on our own work. It is separate from any warranty Wolf gives on the appliance itself, and it neither extends nor replaces it. If the appliance is still inside its factory term, say so when you call — it may be better for you to use that instead.
After the return visit
4.6
out of 5, across 67 customer reviews. Each one below is a single visit, written by the person who paid for it.
The induction section shut down whenever two zones ran together. He found the cooling fan clogged with sand and lint off the beach side and replaced it, then cleared the intake path underneath as well.
Henrietta J.
The latch jammed after a self-clean and the door stayed shut for two days. He freed it and fitted a new latch assembly. The work was good; getting a slot on the calendar took longer than I expected.
Ramsey K.
The French top was heating unevenly and the middle stayed cool. He checked the burner underneath, found a partly blocked port ring and cleared it, then verified the spread of heat with a thermal reading.
Theodora E.
The book
What does this repair cost?
$80
Flat $80 diagnostic covering the visit and the full diagnostic sequence, credited toward the repair once you approve the work. Everything under it is a band, not a quote. The figure that counts is written down after the diagnosis, and it covers the part, the labour to fit it, and the warranty — 90 days on labour, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only.
| What was wrong | Typical finished repair |
|---|---|
| Diagnostic visit on its own | $80, credited |
| Igniter or spark module replacement | $190–$540 |
| Burner valve or orifice service | $220–$710 |
| Oven thermostat or temperature sensor | $170–$530 |
| Convection fan or motor | $260–$730 |
Those are the bands this page's faults land in; the rest of the book is on the rates page. The top of them is $730, and nothing at all — at that figure or well under it — is billed without a written estimate you have agreed to first.
Asked on the phone
What else do people ask?
- What does a visit cost?
- Flat $80 diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you go ahead with it. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour is billed. There is no separate travel charge inside the 40-mile radius.
- Are the parts genuine?
- Genuine OEM parts only. We quote the supplier's lead time rather than a promise, and if a part is on back order you hear that before you commit to the repair.
- Is this an independent shop, or an authorized service centre?
- Independent, and not an authorized service centre. No manufacturer appoints, vets, trains or supervises Dunecrest Cooking Service, and nothing here should be read as though one did. We name Wolf only to say which appliances we work on.
