$80 to get a technician to the appliance, credited to the repair. Nothing is added afterwards that you have not seen in writing.

Whether a repair is worth making at all is a separate question, and it has its own arithmetic: these bands set against the price of a new appliance, on repair or replace.

The convection fan in the oven had begun grinding. He changed the motor and, because salt gets into everything out here, cleaned and greased the shaft collar behind it. Quiet, and it browns evenly again.

Self-clean had welded the door shut and the panel was showing nothing useful at all. He released the latch motor by hand, fitted a new one, then ran a whole cycle with us standing there before he packed up.

Flat $80 diagnostic covering the visit and the full diagnostic sequence, credited toward the repair once you approve the work. Everything under it is a band, not a quote. The figure that counts is written down after the diagnosis, and it covers the part, the labour to fit it, and the warranty — 90 days on labour, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only.
